Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li is most certainly not the movie that the Street Fighter series deserves, but it’s also decidedly not Street Fighter: The Movie. Trivia Rick Yune had originally been cast in the role of Gen, but was later replaced by Robin Shou.
With this in mind, I would strongly suggest that everyone involved in the making of Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li look very carefully when crossing the street. Not only is this a strong early contender for worst film of the year, it could well be a candidate for the worst film ever made.
Street Fighter IV was released in 2008, while The Legend of Chun-Li came out the year later. While you might expect the year’s previous game to be a boost to the film, it doesn’t seem that was the case, or at least not too explicitly.

It delivers nothing, except a hackey, inconsistent crime plot which seems like someone once watched half of Kill Bill Volume 2 and then set out to write a fem-lead Batman movie based on the shittiest possible version of that.
